Generally, the processing time for a new Emirates ID is 5 to 10 days. However, for UAE nationals and GCC nationals residing within the Emirates, the government offers an urgent service called “Fawri,” through which the Emirates ID is issued within 24 hours. For expats, this service is only available for the replacement of ID cards.
